Guides for navigating family, friendships, parenting, partnerships, and building genuine human connection in a disconnected world.
We are connected to more people, more of the time, than any generation before us, and yet many of us feel more alone. Messages arrive constantly, but plenty of people could not name someone they would call at three in the morning. Meanwhile the relationships that shape our lives most, with partners, children, parents, friends and colleagues, are rarely taught. Most of us learn by trial and error, and some of the errors are costly.
This library offers practical, research-informed guides to those relationships: making and keeping friends, easing loneliness, communicating and resolving conflict, partnership, parenting at every stage, difficult family dynamics, caring for ageing parents, grief and working life. Each is written for readers in the UK and refers to UK law and services where relevant. Where the research is mixed we say so, and we avoid easy formulas, because relationships are too varied for them.
A subscription costs £15 for the year and gives you the complete library, including every title added during that time. Each ebook has six chapters. They are guidance and not therapy, and where a relationship involves abuse or risk, the ebooks point you towards specialist help.
