Set your target turn time, then log the seated and cleared times for tables during a service. The tool calculates each actual turn time, compares it to target, and summarises how your service is performing against plan.

Your Cover Calculator uses an assumed turn time to project capacity. Tracking actual turn times validates that assumption — if real turns are consistently longer than planned, your true capacity is lower than you think, and cover targets need revisiting.
The biggest gaps between target and actual are usually at the ends of the cycle: time between being seated and the first order being taken, and time between the final bill being settled and the table actually being cleared and reset. Both are process issues rather than dining-speed issues.
Pre-set tables before guests arrive, take drink orders within 2 minutes of seating, present the bill proactively rather than waiting to be asked, and have a clear table-reset routine so the next booking isn't left waiting for a table that's technically empty.
Faster turns increase capacity but can undermine the guest experience if pushed too hard. Use this data to identify genuine process delays, not to rush guests — the goal is removing wasted time, not compressing the dining experience itself.
