Ingredients

  • 1kg chicken wings, tips removed and cut into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp runny honey
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar

Method

  1. Pat the wings very dry with kitchen paper.

  2. Toss the wings with the oil, paprika, garlic granules, baking powder and salt in a large bowl until evenly coated.

  3. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.

  4. Cook half the wings in a single layer for 22 minutes, turning them every 7 minutes, until crisp and golden and cooked through with no pink meat.

  5. Mix the barbecue sauce, honey and vinegar in a large bowl, then toss the hot wings in the glaze.

  6. Return the glazed wings to the basket and cook for 3 minutes until sticky. Keep warm under foil.

  7. Cook the second batch in the same way and serve with plenty of napkins.
